Fierce Fridays Gold Luck(:
1:18 PM
Hello gorgeous!
Today’s Fierce Friday (And first Fierce Friday! Click here to read about FF if you haven’t already) was inspired by California’s Golden Gate Bridge that I visited the other day. Gold Luck‘s its name and it’s a very simple, but eye catching look that will get your crush noticing you in no time! The great thing about this look is that it only requires two eye shadows!
MAC’S Gold Mine
And Laura Mercier’s Bronze Copper
-----For an additional pop, I used ELF’S Creamy Eye Liner in Purple
Personally, I love mascara! If I could only use one makeup product the rest of my life- It would totally be mascara! My favorite is Lancome’s Hypnose Mascara in black. It’s a little pricey, but worth every cent!
This one is my absolute favorite because in just one or two swipes, you get dramatic and fake looking eye lashes! Which is a biggie for me, considering I have average lashes.
So Let’s Get To The Steps!
--Before Makeup:
Step 1) Take your favorite eye shadow bush, and apply Gold Mine (Or other shimmery gold color you have) all over your lids
Step 2) Next, clean off your brush, and apply Bronze Copper in your crease using a sweeping motion like windshield wipers. Make sure to only make the arch about a centimeter tall. The colors in this look are dramatic enough, a big arch would make it too over the top, and clowny.
Step 3) Apply favorite mascara base, and mascara (Preferably black) to eye lashes.
---- Tip! Use a (unused! Gross!) toothbrush to remove mascara clumps from your eye lashes!

Step 3 (Optional) Take a eyeliner brush, and dark, eggplanty colored eyeliner and apply to the bottom of your eye, and slightly wing out at the edge of your eye!
This look is absolutely stunning! And sense it’s so dramatic, I usually pare it with a nude lipstick, lipgloss or just go au natural.
--------Review
I thought it would be only appropriate to review MAC’S Gold Mine today! As some of you may know, MAC eyeshadows are arranged according to their “finish,” basically meaning what they look like. Mattes, for example have no shimmer, but Frosts are obviously very shimmery. And Gold Mine just happens to be a frost. Frosts are usually one of my least favorite of finishes from MAC because they tend to me overly shimmery and chunky. However, I LOVE this Frost. Gold Mine is extremely soft, and even though it does have some sparkle, it isn’t over whelming. It’s almost like a glow instead of glitter- which I love! Furthermore, the even better thing about GM is that it doesn’t fall out or flake! Which considering that I still go to school, I don’t have time to re-do my eyeshadow in that 5 minute break time in between classes. Also, I never have to wear a primer when using this eyeshadow because it never creases! And who wants ugly, goopy lines of eyeshadow? I would give this eyeshadow a conservative 4.5/5 The only reason I can’t give GM a 5 isn’t actually about the eyeshadow at all, but the packaging. I love all of MAC’S sleek, and chic packaging, but their not always idiot proof. Meaning, that if you drop this eyeshadow, or even knock it in the wrong way. It will crack. So the problem is that the eyeshadow is either too soft, and it crumbles easily, or that they made the mistake of not pressing it properly. Whatever it is, I don’t like it. But I can say that I love this eyeshadow, and it makes my everyday routine even easier!
Weekly Favorite: This week my favorite prodcut has deffinitily been my Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse in 550, Natural Buff. This has been, and probably will always be my favorite foundation. The color matches me perfectly, and the creamy and smooth consistancy looks natural and vibrant on my face. I would recomend this prodcut to everyone, but be causious using it if you have oil, to combination skin. If you do have oily skin, I would recomend Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse that is better for Normal-Oily skin because it has a matte finish that keeps oily skin from looking greasy.
I hope you enjoyed the FIRST Fierce Friday here on Feeling Gorgeous!
Stay tuned for next weeks tutorial and review(:
Love ya,
Sydney
