BBF Boy Best Friend by Essie
10:36 AMSo yesterday I started the John Frieda 3 Day Straight review. I didn't have a blow dryer, so while I was waiting I painted my nails. Essie advertises everywhere, and they seem so interesting. So last month I had to pick up a bottle and try it out. I got the shade BBF Boy Best Friend by Essie.
So I started out by removing the current nail polish I had on my nails.
Next I used the blue side of the buffer to make my nail surface smoother.
After that I used the gray side to polish the surface of my nails.
I used Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails as a base. I put on two coats.
Next I put on the Essie Shade. I used three coats.
After that I put the OPI Black Shatter Nail Polish on. Only on my ring finger.
The last nail polish I put on was N.Y.C.'s Extra Shiny Top Coat.
I used the white side of the buffer to increase shine.
The last step was to use the cuticle oil.
That seems like a lot of work, but it really is worth it. This is my first shade of Essie nail polish and I absolutely loved it. It's perfect for the base shade of a french manicure. Especially since it doesn't really become opaque. I like it as a nail color though. It's the perfect pinkish/nude shade for my nails, and it doesn't wash me out. It also doesn't chip for at least 5 days in my past experience. If you're looking for a shade like this one, I would definitely recommend it.
xxoo,
Claire.
