Get It Gorgeous

Hey guys!  So yesterday I went to the Renaissance Faire with a club from my school.  It was SO much fun.  I honestly thought they would be selling mutton and all the actors would look bored.  It wasn't that way though.  The place was huge, the actors interacted with everyone, and they had so many food choices.  They also had a lot of shows going on during the day.  My favorite one was the hypnosis show.  I was "hypnotized" (I was really just playing along, it would have been disapointing if I didn't!), and I had to go find my belly button out in the crowd.  They tossed around my belly button and finally threw it back to me when I went back on the stage.  It was so funny.  I wonder if that's on youtube yet.  If it is I'll have to share it with you guys.  Anyways here are some pictures:

Hey guys!  So I'm introducing something new that I'm going to do from time to time.  I'll show you runway collections.  At least my favorites from them.  Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers.  I know he doesn't design anymore (RIP!).  I think Sarah Burton does now?  She's the lady that designed Kate Middleton's wedding dress.  Which was fabulous.  Anyways here are my favorites from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 RTW Collection:













I know this was a long post, but I couldn't help it!  13 beautifully made outfits.  I think it's worth the space on this blog.  The first two outfits in this post are these sweet garden party ready dresses.  The dresses with a train are gorgeous and fierce.  (Yes, fierce is an adjective.  Look at Christian Siriano while on Project Runway.  He even got Tim Gunn to start using fierce as an adjective.)  These last two golden outfits are flirty, angelic, and incredibly stunning.  I love all of these outfits, and they were the best from the collection in my opinion.  What do you guys think?

So lately chopping off your long hair has been in style.  Shoulder length is flattering for everyone, and as you can see it really is.  I really want to get my hair done this way, even though my goal was to grow it out.  What do you guys think of this trend?  Good idea or bad?

 Riding Boots
These types of boots are great for fall! Ones that are brownish, and looked distressed or have buckles are perfect! I love these, and they work well for every fall occasion. 












Grey Suede Slouch Boots
These boots are perfect for a colder fall, or transitioning from fall to winter. They are a bit dressier. They look great with dark skinny jeans and sweaters or scarves! 




















Ankle Booties
Ankle booties are great because they accent over sized sweaters well. They aren't bulky, and some come in adorable patterns ad have cute accessories (plaid lining, buckles).

Again some personal stuff came up,
and FF will be next week!

Hey beauties!  So Fall is here, and Winter is most definitely coming.  The skin tends to dry out easily around this time of year, which isn't fun.  Chapped lips, elbows, and knees are probably the most painful out of all of these on my list.  I have some tips to heal, and avoid this problem though.

1. Vaseline
 Vaseline is perfect for hydrating the skin.  I like to use it on my lips (right before I go to bed at night and right when I wake up), and cuticles.  Yesterday I bought Cocoa Butter Vaseline at Target for $2.97.  It was a nice sized tub, and you only need a little bit to put on your lips and cuticles.  I really do mean a little bit, all you need to do is dab your finger in it lightly.  You can buy it here.



2. Aveeno 24 Hour Moisturizing Lotion
   Put this stuff on your legs, arms, and any other dry area on your body every day.  I recommend right after you shower.  This really does help to moisturize your body.  It's not greasy, it sinks into the skin well, and it really does last for 24 hours.  You can buy it here.

3. Olive Oil
 When I shave my legs they become smooth but dry.  To avoid this (and spend less money on shaving cream that doesn't moisturize as well) put about a tablespoon of olive oil into a small cup and put it in the shower.  Pour some on one leg and rub it around until it covers everywhere.  Then you're free to shave, and you don't need to put lotion on right after you shower.  If you want to get the dead skin off and exfoliate add a quarter cup of sugar.  Then you will have super smooth, moisturized legs.

(Today's look!)
Hey guys!
I'm back(:
And honestly, it's getting cold!
Until Wednesday, it was preeety chilly out.
But now, it's starting to warm up. And by warm up,
I mean late 70s early 80s.
I blame global warming(:
Anyway! Fall is coming (and technically here!)
but I don't want to think about that now!
So today's look is going to be a subtle/ light fall look.
Light peachy reds, and greens. Kind of the transition into harsh fall and winter.
Let's get started!
I'm using one just one quad today by Estee Lauder. I've used it in other posts, aswell.
I love the colors, but honestly, I usually just use them together, I've never mixed them with other eyeshadow colors. Like, peachy red and light green, and duo-chrome white arn't that unique, but.. you would have to think about your look before slathering it on!

This is the quad.














Step One) Apply a light peachy-red wash of eyeshadow over your lid (Middle color)















Step Two) Take a, again, LIGHT green and use a windshield wiper motion, and apply the color in your crease. These are fairly non-dramatic colors, so feel free to make it as high, or low as you want! Play around a little bit.















Step Three) Take a white pigment, and apply it in your inner corner and under your eyebrows to waken your face up!















Step Three 1/2)
Put on a few lines of black eyeliner onto your water line. This might seem to dramatic, but it tootaaly is not! It makes this gorgeous look, even better!

Step Three 3/4) Put on a few coats of your favorite mascara!


And done! You're perfectly fall ready(:

Hi(: I'm Charlotte, a beauty blogger from islandbeauty33! I'll be guest blogging here whenever I feel like it, or whenever needed! I want to do a Health Series, on getting back into a healthy routine to look and feel better. Over the last couple of months I've been trying really hard to feel more confident and push myself. I'll share my tips, and depending on the reviews- I'll continue! 

First off, I would research. You can't just start doing random things thinking that you're working harder. Here are some resources that I suggest: 

• Tone It Up! They're super helpful and very relatable!  
• Real Age! They have amazing tips, from health to fitness! 
• Eat This Not That! Tips on making healthier meal choices.  

Those are only a few! Research it and find more! 


EATING PLAN: 

1. Eat the same breakfast and lunch daily. People who minimize food choices usually weigh less. 
2. Don't starve yourself. If your hungry, have a snack. The only limits are watching what you eat, and the proportions. 
3. Snack on vegetables, fruits, nuts, and whole grain and wheat products. Fiber helps control cravings so try to eat 1 serving of fiber when you're starting out. 

ADD SUPPORT: 

1. Ask a friend or family member to help you. Sometimes it works out better when you have others with you to encourage you.
2. You can ask others to go for a walk, or an exercise class with you. You're getting in a workout, and you're having fun!

REMEMBER!! Waist is more important that weight!! Ditch the scale, and try on a pair of jeans. If they feel looser, than you're working hard. Achieve to feel better that be unsatisfied by a specific number. You can also measure your waist for more accuracy. The ideal waist measurement for women are 32 1/2 or less.

Hey guys!  So on Friday night I painted my nails using this tutorial.  It's super easy to do!  I used a cheap nail polish though, so it's already started to chip after 3 days.  Here's how it turned out for me though:














Manicures are expensive, but awesome looking nails are like designer handbags now.  Except they are so much cheaper!  This is really easy to do, so let me know if you guys try it!

So today's outfit is casual chic.  I layered a gray mesh dolman top over a black tank top, paired it with dark jeans, added my warm gray boots, and put on a light pink scarf with a key necklace and a black.  Everything I'm wearing is from Forever21 except the boots.  I have an addiction...  Anyways, this is a perfect fall/winter outfit.  I would wear this to a casual family party, out on a chilly night with friends, at school, at the movies, the list could go on!
