Spring 2010
So for this look I did a light pink eyeshadow on the eyelid with a brown color in the crease. I paired it with a light pink gloss also.
Spring 2010
Ignore the amount of blush, I got a little excited with it as you can see. Anyways, I did light brown colors on the lid and dark brown in the crease. I also paired this with a light pink gloss.
Spring 2010
I got this done as a birthday gift and the stylist gave me a flawless smokey eye. She used gel liner to line my eyes and put silver sparkle liner all over my eyelid. I think she did a fabulous job.
Spring 2010
Click the picture so you can see the eyeshadow better. I put green on the inner third, blue in the middle, and pink on the outer third. I used a peach blush and paired it with a pinkish lip gloss.
Summer 2010
I did a natural look, but I added a twist to it. I lined my top lash line with gold glitter liner.
Fall 2010
I did this look for the first school dance of the year. I line my top lash line with black liner and put three different shades of blue on my eyelid.
Fall 2010
I put black eyeshadow all over my eyelid and lined my eyes with black liner. I also used a light pink lip stain with clear gloss.
Winter 2010
I did a silvery smokey eye with some black obviously. I matched clear gloss with it.
Spring 2011
For this I did a natural eye with black liquid liner on the top lash line.
Spring 2011
For this look I used pinks and purples on my eye. I lined my eye with black liner. For the finishing touches I put on pink lip stain with clear gloss.
Spring 2011
For this look I did a coppery eye that is darker than my regular natural eye. I also paired it with a pinkish coppery lip.
I hope you enjoyed all of these looks! They're some of the things I've done over the past several months.

I will be taking a break from this blog because of Hurricane Irene. It's going to hit my area some time Sunday as a tropical storm. So until then I won't be posting on the blog. If the power goes out it may take even longer for me to come back. I apoligize in advance, but there is nothing I can do about it.

If you have a lot of necklaces and you need an easy way to hang them up, I suggest using S-hooks. You can hang them in your closet for an easy way to display all your necklaces.
Another idea is hanging lights. Twinkling lights make it seem more romantic and the soft light is fun at night.
You can also add your favorite photos all over your wall. It's an amazing way to show off your favorite memories. It makes everything so much more personal.
Also, you can cut out letters from pretty photos, scrapbook paper, or plain paper. Use your favorite phrase or a word that makes you smile!I'm going to try out some of these ideas soon. I got the pictures from tumblr. Do you think I should do more decorating posts?

Hey guys!
Today's Fierce Friday's going to be interesting.
Instead of re-creating today's latest hype, I'm going back in time.
Old Hollywood has always been something of interest to me,
The perfect pin-curled hair, popping eyeliner, and dramatic red lips, what else do you need?
However, if you went out in the day with this look- you might get some glances,
and probably not the good ones. So to refrain from these stares, wear this look a night.
Also, today's look is going to be a full face tutorial, so blush and foundation are used!
Your going to need:
-Black eye liner (Preferably liquid, but I used kohl)
-Red Lipstick
-Pearlish-White eyeshadow (10 Ivory Slipper, Satin)
-Dusty Green Eyeshadow (71 Enchanted Forest, Shimmer)
-Light rose/pink eyeshadow (47 Nude Fresco, Satin)
-Dusty dark rose blush (13 Rosewood)
Before Glamification:
1) To begin start applying your black eyeliner on your top, and bottom lash line (I used a eyeliner pencil for this look, but liquid is better for the top lashes, use a pencil for waterline and bottom lash line) for added effect, apply the liner on your waterline. Make sure to slightly wing out your liner like a cat's eye.
2) Sweep on a pearly white eyeshadow on your lids. For the eye colors today, I used Estee Lauder's eyeshadow and blush trio in Pure color. The white is number 10 Ivory Slipper (Satin finish)
3) Apply light rose eyeshadow (47 Nude Fresco) carefully in your crease using a windshield wiper motion. Make sure to use a light hand when applying the crease color.
4) Carefully put a little bit of of the green eyeshadow (71 Enchanted Forest) on your crease line. This will add an ever-so-slight definition to your eyes, and make the colors pop!
--- Optional, apply your favorite Mascagni, I did. But you don't have to! Mascara wasn't as big as it is now then.
(Yes, that is the same picture, but for some reason I didn't take one of the rose/white by its self! Oops!)
5) Dust on a darker rosy color onto your cheeks such as number 13 Rosewood. If you look at old Hollywood makeup pictures, the blush used is usually always a dark rosy color! The reason why? - It defines your check bones, and makes your face look slimmer! The big fad back then!
--- Optional- I used my regular foundation with this look- Mayballine's Dream Smooth Mousse in 255 Natural Buff.
---- Optional, also, if you look at old Hollywood pictures, their faces are usually tinted white. I didn't, but if you really wanted to go full out, swipe some matte, I emphasize matte- You want your face to be tinted white, not full of shimmer- white eyeshaddow over your face. This will give you the slightly white looking face! Totally '40s
6) Put on your favorite red lipstick! Make sure it's matte! Have you ever seen Marilyn Monroe with sparkily red lips?! ( My camera ran out of power, so this picture isn't of me, but you get the idea :) )
And there you go! Just like Marilyn Monroe :)
I hope you guys love this look! And, if you want to get the Hollywood glamor without the negative stares, replace the dramatic black eyeliner with a subtle shimmery brown, and rose blush for a soft peachy-pink. The red lipstick is up to you, but you could also replace it with a nice brownish-pink gloss or lipstick.
Weekly Rate:
Today I thought it would be appropriate to review the same quad I used for this look! Estee Lauder's Quad in Pure Color.
This comes with 3 eyeshadows and 1 blush. They are all pretty colors but not really my tipe.. I would never use this harsh brown/rose blush for anything but this tutorial (It matches so perfectly!) All the colors are very well pigmented, but not the best I've seen. They last extremely well and do not flake or wear off at all! The white and rose are the softest eye colors, and easiest to apply, however the green is not as soft and easy to apply, but stays on just as well.
I honestly don't think I would use these colors as much as my other eyeshadows even though they are pretty. Even though I am a very mature person, my makeup doesn't always need to be mature. I think these are more of "Old Lady Colors" I hate that term, but it honestly looks like colors my grandma could wear. I think these colors can be ah-mazing on (Like I think they're perfect for this Old Hollywood Glamor look) but they could also take a wrong turn down old-ladyville. And we don't want that to happen. So I would give this quad a good 3.5 out of 5.
Weekely Rave:
My absolute favorite product this week has to be Silky Sexy Hair's Frizz Eliminator for thick/coarse hair (because I have crazy frizzy thick hair!)
This to die for hair product does exactly what it says. It makes all your frizziness go away! It's seriously magic! It's a need it I don't feel like flat ironing my hair (and my hair is naturally super curly and filled with fly-aways!) it slightly calms my curls and kills all the frizziness! It also adds a natural looking shine and gloss to your hair! It's also really great for when you do straighten your hair, and you want to make sure that all the frizziness is locked in for a whole day full of silky sexy hair :)
Love you guys!
Have a great weekend,
and Fierce Friday!
xoxo,
Sydney!

My goal is to get at least 50 followers by September 2nd. On September 2nd it will have been an entire month of this blog existing. I plan on having a small giveaway in celebration, and it would be even better if I had 50 followers until then. I haven't gotten the product yet, but I have money set aside for it. It's going to be a small give away, but it's a thank you present for all the support so far. So what do I plan on giving away?
A lush bath bomb! The Mrs.Whippy one to be specific. It's supposed to make your skin super soft. Sounds amazing, right?
I will start the competition on September 2nd and the rules will be revealed then. I can't wait for that day!

So yesterday I started the John Frieda 3 Day Straight review. I didn't have a blow dryer, so while I was waiting I painted my nails. Essie advertises everywhere, and they seem so interesting. So last month I had to pick up a bottle and try it out. I got the shade BBF Boy Best Friend by Essie.
So I started out by removing the current nail polish I had on my nails.
Next I used the blue side of the buffer to make my nail surface smoother.
After that I used the gray side to polish the surface of my nails.
I used Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails as a base. I put on two coats.
Next I put on the Essie Shade. I used three coats.
After that I put the OPI Black Shatter Nail Polish on. Only on my ring finger.
The last nail polish I put on was N.Y.C.'s Extra Shiny Top Coat.
I used the white side of the buffer to increase shine.
The last step was to use the cuticle oil.
That seems like a lot of work, but it really is worth it. This is my first shade of Essie nail polish and I absolutely loved it. It's perfect for the base shade of a french manicure. Especially since it doesn't really become opaque. I like it as a nail color though. It's the perfect pinkish/nude shade for my nails, and it doesn't wash me out. It also doesn't chip for at least 5 days in my past experience. If you're looking for a shade like this one, I would definitely recommend it.

Claire.

Sorry again for the REALLY bad pictures.
So here is what I did for my eyes:
1. I applied a light tan eyeshadow on the inner corner.
2. I used a slightly darker tan eyeshadow on the outer corner.
3. I used a matte brown in the crease.
4. I put on a white/tan color for the highlight.
5. I put black pencil eye liner on the top and bottom waterline.
6. I put mascara on the top lashes.
For my cheeks I put on a peachy colored blush, and for my lips I put on a coppery color that was slightly peachy.
Let me know what you guys think!

Claire.

So I know this is a REALLY bad picture, but it's all I could do.
So I'm wearing shorts from Forever21 that have the pockets hanging out and slight rips. The tank top is the color blush and it's from H&M. My grey top is what I call a batwing top, it has mesh fabric on the sides and the upper back part. So you can see the tank underneath if I lift my arms up.
This is a really casual outfit. I would wear it to the mall, the movies, or even just to hang with friends.
I would love to know what you guys think!

3 things you are proud of about your personality.
Well there are a bunch of things about me that only people really close to me know. They're probably the things I love most about me too.
Sometimes I get kind of hyper I guess, and I start saying really random things. Recently it's been about Jose Jalapeno on a stick. Specifically that I am him and my catch phrase is Si senor.
Another thing is my attention to detail. I like to pay close attention to details in things, which ultimately helps me out in the end. Especially with my artsy side.
The last thing is my creativity. I absolutely adore being creative with things. I'm not great at most artistic things though. Although doing make up, hair, and picking out outfits is one of those ways I can express it. I also like to make invitations. I find really cute ways to do them.
I would absolutely love to hear what you're response to this is, and if you want to start the challenge click here.

The best things to happen to you this week.
This past week has been very chill for me actually. (Besides the whole moving thing.) I hung out with my boyfriend a lot, which is always nice. I also finished putting away my room. Another fun thing is my friend came over last night and I haven't seen her in a month.
Also I'm extremely sorry for not having my room tour up today. I've been surprisingly busy today. I'll get it done tomorrow though.

Hey guys! I'm extremely sorry for not being as active recently. I've had to deal with moving. I also have summer homework to do still. I've been putting that off, which isn't very good. Anyways everything is almost together in my room now. It will be soon though. Also as we speak my camera is being charged. So guess what you guys will see tomorrow?
A room tour! Also an outfit of the day with what I will be wearing. Along with a face of the day.
This week you will also be seeing me do a review of the John Frieda 3 Day Straight, a natural make up tutorial, and a what's in my school bag video. Doesn't that sound exciting?!

Something disgusting you do.
When I was little my mom introduced me to dipping my Wendy's french fries into their frosties. It stuck and I started dipping my chicken nuggets into them too. My dad thinks it's the most disgusting thing ever, but I love it.

Helloooo girls! Today's Fierce Friday is going to be a little.. I mean a LOT different. I just got back in Michigan at midnight, and started working on FF because our drive home is 2 days long.. And we don't stop!! So the pictures are not as clear as they should be, and when I unpack and get my camera, I will re post the pictures. So let the adventure begin!
1) First your going to take a really light pink eyeshadow base. I used the pinkish color in Revlon's Beyond Natural Quad in Peach over my lid, and then put BareMineral's lose eyeshadow in Enchanting

2) Take a medium icy blue color such as Laura Mercier's eyeshadow in Marina, and again use that winsheled wiper motion in applying it to your crease. As well as in this look, you want to keep it only around a centimeter tall.
2.5) ---- Optional- Take a matalicy blue/green eye liner and wing it out on the side. Then, apply it on your bottom lashes, and water line.

4) Put on a few coats of your favorite mascara. Lancome's Hypnose Mascara is my favorite! A cheaper alternitive is Maybaline's Colosal (In Glam Black) This look is great because it's mellow, and dramatic at the same time! For some reason, it makes me feel like I'm under the sea. It's best paired with a light pink lipstick such as MAC'S Please Me

Weekly Rave: This week's rave is strange.. I've been in Colorado and California the whole summer, and in case you guys didn't know. Those both are veerry hot! And no matter what, when it's hot. My face is always sweating! So my had these little bumps covering my face. I didn't know what to do, and then I started using Tea Tree Oil. For those who don't know what TTO is, it's actually the opposite of an oil. So it's great for people with oily skin. It's basically an anti-bacterial liquid that dries your face like crazy, (So use a facial lotion after!) but clears it up like no other! For those of you who suffer with acne, it would be a GREAT all natural solution to try if you haven't already!
Eyeshadow Analysis: This week's EA is MAC'S eyeshadow pigment in Coco Beach. If you guys don't shop at MAC that much, then you probably don't know what their 'pigments' are. Pigments are basically de-potted eyeshadow (meaning lose. Like.. Seriously lose) that is always very concentrated! CB is a very pretty medium brownish gold eyeshadow that shimmers gold in the light. It makes a PERFECT eye liner and a good crease color for a dramatic look! I love the color and the texture.. But I'm not a big fan of MAC'S pigments (that's why I don't have to many of them) For a reason.. Sense their lose, they give a ton of fall out! Expeshially when you first apply them.. So for that, I'm going to have to give this shadow a conservitive 3.5/5 I love the color, but you can't really use it for an everyday look unless your using it as a liner, and that can be a pain. Even though it's not the best, for those of you who don't mind spending a few extra seconds apply their crease shadow so it won't leave fall out. I would tootaaly recomend Coca Beach!
I hope you guys enjoyed todays Fierce Friday,
and that your Friday is as fierce, and free as ever!
xx,
Sydney!

A date you would love to go on.
Fall is probably my favorite time of the year. I always love all the fun festivity that goes on. Between halloween, apple picking, and corn mazes, the fun never stops. I would love to go on a date at a corn maze though. It's a great way to have fun.
Another date I would love to go on is at an amusement park. I absolutely adore roller coasters and I think it would be an amazing time.
What about you guys? Also if you own a blog and you want to start the 30 day blog challenge then click here.

I was wondering if any of you have a favorite Lush bath bomb. Or maybe you want to try one, but you haven't had the chance yet. Maybe you even have a few that you would love to reccommend. Put your answer in the comments please!
I haven't had the opportunity to try any yet, but I look forward to trying the Sakura bath bomb soon.

Hey guys!
Today has been a long day. I got up around 7 am and went with my mom to go get a quick breakfast from wawa. After that I decided to go back to sleep and I slept until close to 9. The movers were actually supposed to get to the house around 9, but they had to take care of someone else first. So until they got there at around noon I was at the apartment making graphics on the computer. (I will share the graphic I made with you guys after I finish it!)
Around 2 pm the guys moving us got to the apartment and moved all our stuff in. I was so excited to finally have all my furniture in my room and figure out where I want it. They finished somewhere between 3-4 pm and left. After that I started unpacking a few things. I didn't get very far though.
After all of that I started to get ready to hang out with a friend tonight. So now I'm just waiting to go over to their house. My plans after I get back from my friend's house is to pull an all nighter and completely unpack my room. I'm excited to organize everything. It's always been something I found interesting. I'll post pictures and do a room tour after everything is unpacked and together.

Your current relationship, if single discuss how single life is.
So I actually got into a relationship a week ago. So far it's going pretty smooth. We've hung out a lot, and whenever we do it's fun. I'm actually going to hang out with him tonight, so I'm pretty excited.
I would love to hear what you guys have to say about this so leave a comment!

Before I start I would just like to say that I am one third of the way done with this! Time flies I guess.
Your views on drugs and alcohol.
I actually dislike both things. I've seen what it can do to a person, so I definitely don't encourage people use it. At least to excess, but only with alcohol. Even with those few words I posted, I feel like the speak for themselves.

Hey guys! So sorry my post yesterday was super short. I was extremely tired and I couldn't think of much to write. Anyways I expect to write much more today.
So I wanted to do an outfit that had a pop of red, and was sexy yet not trampy. The red dress is paired with black heels that have a mesh fabric and a bow in front. Along with a white miu miu clutch and a silver bracelet with a heart charm.
This outfit would be perfect for a holiday party (namely christmas or new years eve) or a cocktail party. I would do a silvery smokey eye with just a hint of black, light pink gloss, and a natural, dewy glow. A chic chignon or victoria secret-like waves would go amazing with this.
As usual, I would adore your feedback in the comments and I look forward to doing more of these posts!

Claire.

This is a casual, comfortable outfit. Skinny jeans with a button down and a slouchy sweater are perfect for a day at school or out on the town. The chanel side purse and black wedges class up the look.

Hello gorgeous!
Today’s Fierce Friday (And first Fierce Friday! Click here to read about FF if you haven’t already) was inspired by California’s Golden Gate Bridge that I visited the other day. Gold Luck‘s its name and it’s a very simple, but eye catching look that will get your crush noticing you in no time! The great thing about this look is that it only requires two eye shadows!
MAC’S Gold Mine
And Laura Mercier’s Bronze Copper
-----For an additional pop, I used ELF’S Creamy Eye Liner in Purple
Personally, I love mascara! If I could only use one makeup product the rest of my life- It would totally be mascara! My favorite is Lancome’s Hypnose Mascara in black. It’s a little pricey, but worth every cent!
This one is my absolute favorite because in just one or two swipes, you get dramatic and fake looking eye lashes! Which is a biggie for me, considering I have average lashes.
So Let’s Get To The Steps!
--Before Makeup:
Step 1) Take your favorite eye shadow bush, and apply Gold Mine (Or other shimmery gold color you have) all over your lids
Step 2) Next, clean off your brush, and apply Bronze Copper in your crease using a sweeping motion like windshield wipers. Make sure to only make the arch about a centimeter tall. The colors in this look are dramatic enough, a big arch would make it too over the top, and clowny.
Step 3) Apply favorite mascara base, and mascara (Preferably black) to eye lashes.
---- Tip! Use a (unused! Gross!) toothbrush to remove mascara clumps from your eye lashes!

Step 3 (Optional) Take a eyeliner brush, and dark, eggplanty colored eyeliner and apply to the bottom of your eye, and slightly wing out at the edge of your eye!
This look is absolutely stunning! And sense it’s so dramatic, I usually pare it with a nude lipstick, lipgloss or just go au natural.
--------Review
I thought it would be only appropriate to review MAC’S Gold Mine today! As some of you may know, MAC eyeshadows are arranged according to their “finish,” basically meaning what they look like. Mattes, for example have no shimmer, but Frosts are obviously very shimmery. And Gold Mine just happens to be a frost. Frosts are usually one of my least favorite of finishes from MAC because they tend to me overly shimmery and chunky. However, I LOVE this Frost. Gold Mine is extremely soft, and even though it does have some sparkle, it isn’t over whelming. It’s almost like a glow instead of glitter- which I love! Furthermore, the even better thing about GM is that it doesn’t fall out or flake! Which considering that I still go to school, I don’t have time to re-do my eyeshadow in that 5 minute break time in between classes. Also, I never have to wear a primer when using this eyeshadow because it never creases! And who wants ugly, goopy lines of eyeshadow? I would give this eyeshadow a conservative 4.5/5 The only reason I can’t give GM a 5 isn’t actually about the eyeshadow at all, but the packaging. I love all of MAC’S sleek, and chic packaging, but their not always idiot proof. Meaning, that if you drop this eyeshadow, or even knock it in the wrong way. It will crack. So the problem is that the eyeshadow is either too soft, and it crumbles easily, or that they made the mistake of not pressing it properly. Whatever it is, I don’t like it. But I can say that I love this eyeshadow, and it makes my everyday routine even easier!
Weekly Favorite: This week my favorite prodcut has deffinitily been my Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse in 550, Natural Buff. This has been, and probably will always be my favorite foundation. The color matches me perfectly, and the creamy and smooth consistancy looks natural and vibrant on my face. I would recomend this prodcut to everyone, but be causious using it if you have oil, to combination skin. If you do have oily skin, I would recomend Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse that is better for Normal-Oily skin because it has a matte finish that keeps oily skin from looking greasy.
I hope you enjoyed the FIRST Fierce Friday here on Feeling Gorgeous!
Stay tuned for next weeks tutorial and review(:

Your last kiss.
I probably shouldn't blog about this, but it was last night and it was amazing. That's all I'm going to say.

Something you're currently worrying about.
I'm positive all of you have heard of the rioting in the UK. I have some friends who live in Birmingham where some people died last night because of the riots. I'm just hoping everything will be okay there soon. I would write more about this, but I'm pretty positive all of you know about it.

Hey guys! So I'm starting a new post which shows the make up I'm wearing for the day. It won't be every day though. Anyways, let's get started!
This is a natural look. I used a shadow matching my skin tone on my lid and a medium color brown in the crease. I put a thin line of black liquid liner on the top lash line. Black pencil liner went on my top water line, the top part of the inner corner of the water line, and the outer corner of the bottom waterline. White pencil liner was applied on the rest of the bottom water line. For my cheeks I put a natural pink powder blush on, bronzer was used to define my cheekbones, and I put highlighter on my cheekbones.
This was a very simple look, and I love the way it looks. I would love to have some feedback on this!
xxoo,
Claire.
